Sharing...THE EDITOR'S VIEW

2006 Theme
'The Relentless Pursuit For Complete Obedience'

"Obedience is far better than sacrifice. God is more interested in your listening to him than your offerings..." I Sam. 15:22 Living

God Bless and may His richest blessings be unto each one of you my dear readers in the Lord!
We are moving along in 2006 by God's grace and mercy and I don't know about you, but I did a new year's self-inventory as I petitioned God about a needed theme for this year, the above was what He gave me. Obedience to God is the most important possession that Christians have, whatever way we can improve or enhance it is very pinnacle to us. We must understand the difference in obedience and 'complete obedience.' In our efforts to be pleasing to God which one do we think He will pay more attention to?
We take the time to tweak many things in our life, we want to make it better, upscale it, upgrade it, etc. But what about our obedience to God? How much tweaking do we do to this? And it definitely can be tweaked! Just reflect for a moment on some of our responses to things God asked us to do last year. Did we hesistate, pout, procrastinate, ponder, question? Did we drag our feet or complain? If any increment of these things were found in our responses, we've got work to do! Complete and absolute obedience is hastening to God's call the second you hear it and doing what He is requesting to the best of your ability even if you don't understand why.
I challenge each of you as well as myself to tweak the excellence in our obedience to God. See how much closer to complete obedience we all can come. Stay focused on what we're doing and why; obeying our Heavenly Father because it pleases Him for His children to sincerely obey.

EDITOR PREVIEWS & UPDATES!

'My this has been a busy, busy year for me!' I request your prayers! However, I am seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, Praise God!'

Our Fall/Winter 2006 issue will be up by mid-September with new articles, news, and information. Thank you for your submissions, I have received some very powerful life stories from our readers and we will be sharing them in the next issue. I'd also like to thank you for your continued support of Spirit-Touch and keep this endeavor lifted up as we move forward in God's will for us! Blessings!

In this issue on our 'Spirit Touch Others' page, we're featuring guest writer, Dr. Anne Marie McDonnell Ph D. An Alumna and adjunct professor of the Regent University School of Leadership Studies. Dr. McDonnell resides in North Providence, RI, where she is also part-time choir director and organist at St. Casimir's Lithuanian Catholic Church in Providence. She has shared her faith through interviews, directing children's choirs, and performing original compositions and sacred music. She also composed the hymn "Where Jesus Leads, We Must Follow."
Read this inspiring story as it teaches each of us to admire and understand the differences that we all have in what God has called each of us to in life. Her article is entitled 'Christian Leadership To Touch The World.'

Also on the 'Spirit Touch Others' page we have, 'Ask The Editor Your Questions.' If you have a ministry question or a one in general, send it per our email address. We'll answer them with biblical based answers as they are received!
'Continue to be blessed!'

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

The main purpose of SPIRIT-TOUCH is to make a positive Christian difference in the lives of the body of Christ and unbelievers as well. The wave of Christianity has taken so many turns, it is difficult at times to know what we 'should or shouldn't' condone. One thing that remains unchanged is God's Word and anything that is said or done and 'does not' align with the Word misrepresents Christ! It is our desire to spread the 'truth of God's Word' by touching the spirit of mankind with the simple but complete reality and understanding of the Word. The body of Christ has many needs, encouragement, joy, strength, patience, forgiveness, tolerance etc., etc. What Spirit-Touch strives to do is give insight in these areas with the information we give. We pray that you will be inspired and uplifted by what we present to you.
